24 at Bloomfield

Updated Review: My initial review was during the first few months of living at 24@Bloomfield. My review went from a 5 star to a 3 star due to the following. Property: 24 is a clean property for the most part. We have someone who've I've seen picking up trash. We have a trash compactor, it doesn't smell. The only eye sore is when people move out they'll leave all of their furniture there. The furniture is too big. Staff: My saying for all ER properties are "If you do not have to deal with the leasing office then it'll be a great stay" Take that as you want Maintenance: While I normally see the same 2 men on the property. Mario normally is the maintenance tech that comes to my apartment. He's in and out. Doesn't seem like he judges messiness (One of my closets he went in was soooo messy lol). He never has to come twice! The only kinda bad incident I had was a lock out during the first winter storm. I waited for about 15 minutes outside of your main door. Two days later I have a $25 lock out fee on my door. I didn't feel like complaining because 9x/10 they will not waive the fee. No matter how long we were outside. Within the leasing office it's probably one person who has been there since almost the opening. In my situation, I normally go to the leasing office if I am upset (only did this once). They weren't mean, it was just a "Well, this is the policy" At the end of the day, they have a policy to follow. It may not be logical but it's there.. Gym is cute for newbie gyms peeps. It's never more than 3 people in there at once. Most of the time it's free. Unit (1BR 1B 2nd floor & above a garage) I moved into a new new unit and noise wise I didn't have problems until this year. Just like a new building it settles. I hear my neighbors above me walking (Doesn't bother me, it isn't constant). The most noise I heard was from my neighbor. He had a toddler that would scream cry. The front office will not do anything for noise because it's common apartment noises. My unit is over 2 or 3 garages. Noise wise, a regular car, you will not hear it. If it's a loud muscle car (which is in one of the garages) you will DEF hear the muffler. Luckily none of them blast music in their cars. Oh, you will always hear them slamming the garage doors... no matter how light. I keep my apartment quiet. However, if you turn on your TV or something you probably will not hear it. Music wise you can hear you neighbor in the entry area. However, when you go into your unit you probably will not hearit. I give it a 3/5. If you are kind of weird like me, I quickly realized that the placement of outlets are weird. If you like to move furniture then it's limited depending on what you'd like to do. We can mount TV Within almost 3 years the only maintenance I've requested was 1 - Door paint was chipped (never did it. Just closed the ticket) 2 - My shower faucet had a drip. One maintenance man came, claimed to have fixed it, not fixed. I waited a week or so and Mario came and fixed it. No problems. 3 - Smoke alarm change Maintenance comes within 3 business days. My biggest con with 24 is us not having buzzers. I originally thought this was a safe. Until I walked in and saw a note on our main door with the 24 letterhead stating that someone was assaulted in our building and we needed to keep the main door closed. Never in my life have I seen a property expose something like that. I felt bad for whoever that was, but that honestly wasn't everyone's business. I have a photo as well. It was only on 1 of the 4 main doors so they targeted our area... I have a photo of it. But I will not post it because I am sure that 24 wouldn't do that. I am hoping that it was a prank or something. Anyways, we were told we would have buzzers and now we are being told that "they aren't talking about it." It's even more frustrating that our sister complex Uptown Square in Troy are able to keep their main doors open. Everyone with low stars are agreeing with similar things. Take that into consideration

I hope that someone would read this comment. I live in this property for 5 months. Tonight (and many other nights) our neighbours (I guess from upstairs) making lots of noise and stomping. But management doesn’t care about this. So if you don’t care it it’s your choice, but if you have self respect and don’t want to live like this, I recommend, don’t pick this property
